Unique paper work by Anne Marie Ploug
Lovely Noxious
Horsens Art Museum, 2007
Lovely Noxious means something along the lines of "delightfully poisonous". Ploug deals with the odd, the unwanted and the rejected, which is alluring, beautiful and evolving at the same time. With the contrasting title as a mantra, some works are based on dilemmas in society, while others simply describe the beauty in the ugly.
Paintings, copper prints, woodcuts, ceramics and drawings were shown at the exhibition. In addition, Anne Marie Ploug worked together with the writer Ursula Andkjær Olsen, who created a text in the form of the sound work "Elverhøj, Ormehul" that reflected the works in the room.
